How to look after Adoravel Virgin Indian Remy Hair Extensions

November 30th, 2009 | Comments Off | Posted in Uncategorized

I often get several questions in regards to maintenance of hair extensions, hair extension stylists, and how long you should keep your hair extensions in for.

1) Before applying hair extensions find a hair salon or stylist that specialises in hair extensions. They should be able to discuss, style , length, texture and aftercare options to ensure you are happy with the end result. The way you choose to have your extensions applied is crucial to the finished look and also imperative in order to look after your natural hair and scalp. This brings me to my next point, always treat your hair and scalp before any hair extension application.

2) Shampoo and condition Adoravel Virgin Indian Remy Hair regularly. I recommend you do this at least once a week. It is best to wash the hair in lukewarm water. You must always condition Adoravel Virgin Indian Remy hair, treat it like your own hair. Conditioning treatments should be done before, during and after your weave. Please watch our next post for recommended aftercare products.

3) For everyday maintenance, I recommend using a light serum when required. When wearing Adoravel Virgin Indian Straight Hair, brush regularly with a weave brush or a wide tooth comb for simple maintenance. Adoravel Virgin Indian wavy/curly hair can be easily maintained by spraying the hair with moisturising activators and defining style with your fingers or wide tooth comb.

4) Wrap Adoravel Virgin Indian Hair with a silk or satin scarf at night. Keep the hair in a ponytail or a loose plait at night to help keep it neat and make it easier to style in the morning.

5) Adoravel Virgin Indian Hair features the finest quality in hair extensions. You can go swimming with Adoravel Virgin Indian Hair, and the hair will not matte or tangle. Please note, you should never go to sleep with damp hair. This will cause mildew, odour and may result in scalp problem. The base of the weave must also be dried properly if you have gone swimming, so please ensure you use a hood drier after you have washed and conditioned the hair.

Choose A Lace Wig That Befits Your Lifestyle

November 30th, 2009 | Comments Off | Posted in Uncategorized

Selection of the appropriate lace wig is a trying proposition due to its availability in many colours and lengths. This choosing has to be proper. Lace wigs specially styled for American, African and Indian hair are readily getable. It is very important to choose a wig according to your societal status. The questions that you may ask yourself are: How often do you wash your hair?, Do you lead a very dynamic lifestyle?, How much time will you be able to devote for hair care? Are you in middle ages when hair extensions are a vexing issue? How are climatic conditions in the place where you reside? If you lead on-the-go life and exercise daily, then a lengthy wig will not be fitting for you. In that case a mid-sized or smaller length one will be viable.

Select the length first. Then you can attempt the style and color of the hair extension. The tinge should be in compliance with your skin color. There may be a cost deviation of $25-$50 depending on length of the wig. You can also prefer a lace wig with a longer length and then tailor-make it to make it smaller; this will however work out to be a little pricier. Therefore picking out the right length is important, if you dont require extra long-hair you should not unnecessarily bear it.

The application of liquid adhesives when you buy a front lace wig should be equally done and in light coats. Read the directions with care. Always use horizontal and vertical strokes like painting with both your hands and always make sure that the previous coat has evaporated before you go for the following one.

Do not forget to use the liquid bond to the lace system. The initial application should be on your scalp, on which you place the unit. It is fundamental to prepare your scalp by cleaning it, then put the skin shield and last bond your lace wig. The skin shield works as a barrier against skin soreness and also raises the strength of the tape adhesives or skin safe liquid.

You may experience that the bond of the lace wig has weakened after a workout, which is quite natural. But desist from moving it as the bond hardens as the body cools. There are many web stores which sell cheap wigs and you can choose your pattern and color from the displays.

editorialesque » female model trio for vogue nippon

November 26th, 2009 | Comments Off | Posted in Uncategorized

what yo’ name iz? julia hafstrom, sharon kavjian & kamila filipcikova

the triple set of females seen here appear editorially for the latest issue of vogue nippon. i love the usage of hair pieces & tracks. i think this would’ve been a prime opportunity to, again, used colored models. i really think it would be dope to see our favorite colored females for this piece. all three females are represented by IMG model management. creative hair & make-up with this piece but the lack of color for this theme edit is clear & is still a very large problem for females in the modeling game. images for this edit were shot by daniel jackson. didier mange is to credit for the hair while gucci westman did the make-up.

Did you know that the word gullible has been taken out of the English dictionary?

November 26th, 2009 | Comments Off | Posted in Uncategorized

Just in case you were thinking you’d try bouncing your lovely new motorola off the surface of the nearest lake – DON’T DO IT! Motorola’s recent pebl ad showing a good looking young man skimming his pebl phone across the water where it’s picked up by a pretty woman, carried a warning which could be deemed a little unnecessary:

“Fictionalisation – the pebl phone is not water resistant”

Viewers! Don't try this at home.

Advertising, it seems, is a curious mixture of checking that we don’t believe something which is entirely implausible, and trying to make us believe something equally implausible. Take for example the L’Oreal ad featuring the lovely Cheryl Cole telling us how her hair feels full of body, replenished and has got its Mojo back. What she omits to say is that this process has nothing to do with shampoo but more to do with the 10 inch hair extensions she had put in place recently.

Things are not quite as they seem in adverts sometimes - Cheryl's hair is great, but normal, after all.

As one who has confessed on here already to a boob job I am definitely not against the occasional bit of fakery, but when it’s being used to trick teenage girls into believing that some rubbish  shampoo will make their hair look entirely different then it’s a whole new ball game. It would be like using Jordan to advertise wonderbras.

Of course there are also lots of ads which make occasionally sitting through the commercial break bearable….

Guinness are full of great ideas for advertising and they don't try and bulls**t us into believing something ridiculous

….but mostly I thank god for sky plus and a kettle.

Can I color my hair extensions?

November 20th, 2009 | Comments Off | Posted in Uncategorized

You should not have to color your hair extensions if your match was done correctly.  If you cannot find a true match then no, it is not recommend coloring your hair extensions. However if you have to get your roots retouched please visit a Hair Extensions specialist that is comfortable with coloring and Hair Extensions.  If not you can risk damaging and destroying your hair extensions.

Color on the bonds can disintegrate them and shorten the lifetime of the extensions.

WARNING: DO NOT rinse hair with high salon jets as it may cause matting.  And please be advised often times stylists will say they can do something just to get you in the chair.

Maintenance- Caring For Your Hair Extensions

November 20th, 2009 | Comments Off | Posted in Uncategorized

Brushing your hair:

  • Brush through twice a day with a soft bristled brush.
  • When brushing hair, please start from the bottom and work your way up little by little, holding your hair with the other hand near the roots.
  • Do not comb hair from the top down as it may pull.
  • Respect your roots; NEVER comb your hair from the roots.
  • Detangling on your terms- Make your own detangling spray with sulfate free conditioner.  Simply mix 1-part conditioner with 2-parts water in a spray bottle and apply to the extension hair each morning.  Be sure to finger comb your hair before using a comb or brush.

Washing:

  • Wash with a sulfate free regimen.
  • Wash as you need to, frequent shampooing may damage even the best extension hair. (Less shampooing will also help prolong your color).
  • Shampoo in warmer to cooler water rather than hot water.
  • Keep the hair clean, when dirt accumulates (including sweat) hair tangles.
  • Use good quality moisturizing hair products but avoid heavier conditioners at the root or around the bonds (will cause slipping).
  • When in the shower, take the time to run your fingers through your hair to work out any knotting at the root area.
  • Avoid oil slicks.

LONG HAIR TIP: use a regular conditioner at the root and a deeper conditioner at the ends of the hair to balance out the porosity.

Sleeping and Activities:

  • Tie hair back when sleeping to prevent pulling and tangling
  • Try to sleep on a satin pillowcase or wrap head in a satin scarf to avoid tangling.

Maintaining style:

  • Hair applied is 100% human Remy hair so styles away just keep heat away from bonds as it could cause melting.
  • When blow-drying hold the dryer about 12” away from your head and sweep the entire head rather than focused heat.
  • When blow-drying use a cooler temperature when drying root areas.

Dos and Don’ts:

  • Do not use hot tubs or saunas as this can break down bonds.
  • Do not use heat on bonds
  • Do use a cool temperature hair dryer.
  • Do not go to bed with wet hair.
  • Do tie your hair back in a braid when sleeping or being active.
  • Do use a satin pillowcase.
  • DO wear a tight swim cap when swimming; swimming in heavily chlorinated water with fusion extensions can weaken the bond.
  • Do not pull or pick at your bonds.
  • Do your regular maintenance check (recommended every 6 weeks).

Things to know about extensions:

November 20th, 2009 | Comments Off | Posted in Uncategorized

Do not sweat it is normal to lose a couple extensions during the lifetime of the extensions, just save the bond and the bond can be reapplied during next maintenance service.

Do not be alarmed – The average person loses anywhere between 50-100 natural hairs per day, keep in mind when your extensions are removed the hair that would have typically shed is secured within the bond when applied so the hair would not have naturally shed.  So it may seem like you are losing more hair but really it is the hair that you would have shed naturally.

Tips for Long Hair

November 20th, 2009 | Comments Off | Posted in Uncategorized

Maintain long hair by following a few basic rules:

  • Keep hair clean and conditioned.
  • Use a high quality conditioner designed for specific hair types. Leave-in conditioner is also a good choice.
  • Trim long hair every 6 weeks or so to minimize split ends. Go to a professional hairstylist to get an even trim. Get a small trim regularly to help keep the length of the hair smooth by not having to get a lot cut off because of longer split ends.
  • Apply thermal protector product to the hair before straightening to protect hair from becoming damaged.
  • It is normal for long hair to get a little knotty at times do not be alarmed.  But there is a HUGE difference between matted and tangled.  If matted go see your hair extension specialist ASAP.
  • If hair has a little static spray a hairbrush with hairspray and run it through your hair…don’t spray hair directly. Or take a fabric softener sheet and rub it over a hairbrush or comb and then brush.  In the salon sometimes used are creams or matte pomades applied by finger combing the hair at the ends to weigh the flyaway done a bit.  A recommended hair spray I as a stylist always use for static and it WORKS is Matrix’s Shape maker, which is a partly wax and partly hairspray spray.

Stylist Tip: It is always recommended to get regular trims when you are working towards growing your hair out or wanting to maintain a healthy look.  When you are getting a trim you are cutting off the split ends (I recommend all of my clients to come in every 6-8 weeks).

When you are hesitant to cut your hair, think about this…have you ever seen a split tree branch?  The tree branch often when it is split forks at the break and as you split the break more the branch become weaker, thinner and sometimes shorter do to the split thinning and breaking off of itself.  Now the ONLY way to get rid of that split is to cut it at the split to get rid of it otherwise the split will just keep riding up the shaft.  Your hair works the same way. SO GET REGUALR TRIMS!!!  You will be amazed how fuller and thicker your hair will look at the ends after regular appointments.
